Early Goals Lead to Rams 3-1 Loss to #18 Drexel
Friday night brought along a late start for the RAM field hockey squad as they allowed three first half goals from #18 Drexel. Out of the blocks, late, VCU picked up it’s pace and outshot the dragons 11-0 in the second half. Senior co-captain, Marle van Dessel scored in the 62nd minute off of a penalty corner to make the score 3-1. After the goal from van Dessel, VCU continued to put incredible pressure on Drexel, but could not find the back of the goal cage.
